First 10 Days of February
Here are just some fun pics from around the house in the last couple of weeks.
Macklin is pretty obsessed with his new "basketball clothes." He pretty much gets up and requests to wear them each day. He is a happy guy!

We were left with no babysitter for the EVHS Dodgeball tournament a couple of weeks ago, so the kids came with. Justin got his C-team basketball guys to make a team and I made a team with a bunch of EVHS coaches. I would just like to say that my team placed second and Justin's team didn't quite place. To his defense, we didn't get to play head to head ;)
MOPS last week was a work out day! I thought it would be all easy, but I was super sore! I think I did like 100 tricep dips and 200 lunges/squats (and then the Mountain Games race was the same night!). I won a Jillian workout video in a drawing too...maybe I should use that. Running is much easier.

Free Family Fun Fair
Eagle County had their Free Family Fun Fair at the Eagle County Fairgrounds today. This is such a great event, especially when it hits right in the middle of a cold winter and kids are aching to release some energy! Macklin did a great job hitting as many blow up things as he can. It was fun to watch him do things that he couldn't do at this event last year (the huge slide below and the obstacle course)! He is getting to be a pretty athletic little man!
My high school friends were in these balls. They looked like so much fun!

Winter Mountain Games
I had another great time at the Winter Mountain Games (formerly the Winter Teva Mountain Games). I did the 5k Snowshoe and got 2nd to my good friend Kari (who insists that her dog pulled her up the mountain, but I think she is just in good shape!). I love snowshoeing, so any excuse to get out there and race is awesome. My dear friend Melissa look care of the kids while I was racing since Justin had a basketball game. I am glad that the mom of one of my high school runners was there to help her as Macklin was running everywhere!

YL Sledding
Tonight we had a Young Life event --- Epic Sledding and Bonfire!
It was a ton of fun as kids were all over the hill and down by the fire. My jug of hot coco worked well (after 52 individual packets were opened). That Costco hill is a big ole thing!
Doing all of the things that we do with Young Life is, of course, a ton of fun! But it does take a lot of time. Justin and I feel called to love our high school friends right now. We feel like we are just where God wants us. It also feels exhausting. Long nights, lots of cooking and baking, cleaning the house, etc. I would do each of those things 100x over if one of my high school friends has an opportunity to be introduced to a relationship with Jesus. It is worth it that much!
