Macy's First 2 Days of Skiing

We took Macy to the mountain! And she rocked it! Way better balance than Macklin had at that age (sorry Mack) and didn't need nearly the bribing!

We had a mommy-daughter date last week and headed back to the slopes! She did even better as she started to figure out her skis a bit more and wanted to do the long magic carpet run! Go Macy!

Boys Weekend in Missouri

Justin took Macklin off to Missouri for a boys weekend to see Justin's cousins wedding. I loved getting updates from them along the way!

They did make it to the wedding and looked quite handsome! Congrats to Amanda!!!

We ended up meeting them in Denver when they were headed home. We made the kids first trip to Chuck E Cheese's. They had a blast, although the pizza is not nearly as good as I remember.

Macy's First Cardinal Game

While we were in St. Louis, we were able to take Macy to her first Cardinal baseball game. We have enjoyed the Cardinals over the years and Macklin has even become a Colorado Cardinal fan. Check out his first game when he was 1.5 years old here. The whole day was even more fun that we could have imagined. There is just something special about a grandparent sharing a love with their grandchildren - it is just fun to watch! We got to meet Fredbird, play in the little toddler area, take some swings in the batting cage, eat huge "helmets" of ice cream (while trying not to get it in the lady's hair sitting in front of us), and cheer on the Cardinals. We even made it through the WHOLE game! Imagine that! It was a great day together and we look forward to many more in the future!

Potty Training

We are at full throttle with Macy's potty training.
Officially, my least favorite part of parenthood. :)

Macy's First Haircut

In an effort to control the "ear mullet" that Macy was growing, we bit the bullet and went to the salon! We highly recommend Stephanie at Turning Heads Salon in Eagle. She was great with Macy and gave her a great new shape!

Here is the best I could find of an after picture, a little bob cut!

Macy's Big Girl Bed

Macy is excited to have the side removed from her crib. She climbed out one too many times and how has a new space! It is fun to see the crib like this since we never removed it for Macklin. Now, to get her to stay in it….

Macy's Sleeping Habits

I probably don't have to do a lot to explain these pictures, especially not to a fellow parent.

This past week, Macy learned how to take her PJs off after being put to bed. The first few nights, we found her with one arm out of her top (not pictured). Then, like clockwork, it progressed each night to what you see above. After the middle picture, I said, "As long as she doesn't figure out how to take her diaper off, we are good." After our date night, we found her at the final stage (note: she tried to put her PJs back on, ending up with two legs in one side and kinda stuck in her shorts). Thank goodness there was no mess in the bed, just a cute bare bum. As if this is not funny enough in and of itself, she puts her PJs on her changing table, as if she knows where they go. She is such a cutie, but this may get messy at some point!

Macy's Split Toe

Macy beat Macklin to her first set of stitches at 21 months old. She pulled one of Daniel's weights off of our bench in the living room and it smashed her teeny tiny middle tow on her right foot. At first I thought it was going to be just a bad ouchie. Then, when I grabbed her it started bleeding. Not until I rinsed it off did I realize how open it was. We rushed into the doctors office in Eagle to get some stitches while Daniel stayed home with Macklin (oh and we had three other kids over too!). After a little debate over doing the "glue", we finally choose the stitches, for which I am thankful. I think it gave her the best option for healing. She was a trooper through it all (even with 2 hours of crying). Of course it happened right before nap time, so Macy was tired at the doctor's office and definitely did not care for the "soak it out" series of events to get rid of the dried blood. Thankfully the removal process was much better than Macklin's was last year

The initial pic

Right after the stitches were put in.

Right before we took them out.

"Look, mommy!"
A sticker makes everything better!
