Life with the Cardens

Today we got to play with Daniel Carden's kids. Daniel has been living with us as he goes though a tough divorce. It has been a blessing to have him in our home and the Lord is working in his heart in HUGE ways! Daniel has come to know the Lord in his time with us and we might get to be with him for another year! Today we got to play with his beautiful girls. A little tub time was in order after spending lots of time in the yard! I love babies in the tub!!!!

YL Zip Night

We took our Young Life group out to Zip Adventures in Wolcott, CO for our final night of YL for the school year. It was a blast! I think they were surprised when we brought about 60 kids to zip! But the staff was AMAZING and they got everyone though (even as it got dark).

Macklin got to hang out with Daddy while I went zipping! (thank you Justin)

Beautiful girls I got to zip with!

EVHS T&F

Track season has come to a close with our banquet on Monday. I really enjoyed this season and learned a ton from my fellow coaches. Here are a few pics of the runners I had the honor of coaching.

My twin, Bob (seriously, her name is Samantha but goes by Bob). She is so fun!

A great group of ladies!
(first one is my XC captain in the fall)
These girls placed 19th in state and the top 18 go to state :(
They lost out by .3 seconds

My distance boys

My distance ladies

This is a great group of men. They all came out for T&F so that they could get in shape for the Marines in the fall. These guys will be protecting our country in the fall and I am so honored to have helped them reach their goals!

All of our award winners from the banquet!

Boys 4x8 with Coach Parish
Super hard to believe, but these guys were 19th in state too.
They were .9 seconds behind 18th and worked their tails off!

Cayle's Birthday and U2

Last Saturday we had 2 great events...Cayle's 1st Birthday and a U2 concert!

Cayle was a great sport at his party! He got a lot of fun new toys (including the baby version of a bucking bronco) and we all got to have personalized pizzas! Great idea Nick and Natalie!

That night we headed down do the U2 360 Tour in Denver. One of our friends gave us some tickets and offered to watch Macklin. Now that is an offer that we can't refuse! What a great experience it was. This huge stage was quite the feat and The Fray was the opening act.

The huge 360 screen came down (the lighted part) during a song. U2 then played inside the screen with lighted jackets on. I have never seen anything like this.

Couples BBQ with Church

We are loving our church these days (Calvary Christian Fellowship). So much that I gathered a few women to plan a young couples BBQ in Eagle. There are so may fun couples that we don't really get to hang out with. So, we gathered the troops, fought off the rain, and had a great time! Here are a few shots from the afternoon.

Return Trip to CO

On our way home from STL, we had a bit of car trouble. Ended up that our alternator needed replacing. Darn alternator put us all on the side of the highway awaiting a tow truck. In the mean time, we saw a beautiful sunset and played with Mack!

Friends & Family in STL

While we were in St.Louis for John's wedding,
we also got to see some of our other favorite people.

Macklin and his Grandma Kathy

Macklin with his Grandpa and Mema

Playing with Luca

"Uncle" Jarett is teaching Mack some good habits.

After the wedding, we got to spend some extra time with Miss Ally at Mimi and Papas house.

I promise Mack had fun with Ally even with this face.

Ally spelled his name!

More Pictures from J&J's Wedding

Here are some of my favorites from the actual wedding!
Cathy Hartman was the photographer and she did a great job.

Two beautiful flower girls and two handsome ring bearers.

"You talking to me?"

"We got this dude!"
(this is literally the moment these boys met!)

"I know I am cute!"
(Check out his bow-tie. One of the girls in the wedding made them for the boys. It has a dinosaur charm on the center part.)
