Naps….how easily such a little thing can make or break my mommy life! Who would have thought that such a little thing is capable of so much. No one ever told me this before I had kids. Prior to becoming a parent, a friend said that he couldn't hang out because of bed time for his kids and I thought he was crazy.

Routines and nap times keep mommies and babies happy. So when we decided it was time for Macklin to kick his afternoon nap in return for an earlier bedtime, I knew it was going to be a hard transition. I like my two-hour mid day mommy time. I NEED my mommy time. At this point, I am not sure what I am going to do without it. I need to establish new routines for Mack and myself. I need to trust that God will allow me to fit in what is needed and purge what is not. I will have to be more efficient with my time and plan ahead. With track starting in a couple of weeks, I am a bit anxious about how things will get done. But I will continue to trust that it will all work out and I will continue to make sacrifices to be the best mommy I can be for my kids.

Family Fun Fair

The kids had a blast getting their faces painted at the Free Family Fun Fair! They did a great job sitting and being still for the artist. Macklin had the idea for the Raf Ninja Turtle face. By the time we left, there were at least five other Ninja Turtles around that liked his idea! He enjoyed showing it off to Justin at his basketball game later in the day.

Superbowl 2014

While the Broncos were busy with turnovers, the Brandts, Bangtsons, and Bakers were out having a blast! We played in the Bakers backyard in over two feet of snow. Prior to this day, it had not been tracked out at all. The guys started making loops around the yard and created a little trail system. Mack and Trevan loved running around in their teeny tiny snowshoes and Macy hung out in the pack on my back. You never know what kind of things will happen with the awesome husbands that we have. Epic Snow Storm 2014

It officially happened...Eagle County got enough snow to cancel school! For the second time in 27 years (I have heard a lot of stats, but that was the one I heard the most) and the second time since we have lived in Colorado, school was canceled! Friday was a powder day for all! It only took 25' in a 24 hour period to do it!

Thursday night we spent date night shoveling off our roof. There was 23" up there (some from previous snow storms) and by the time we were done, we had another 3" on top and about 5" had accumulated on the driveway that we had already shoveled!

What happened the next day while I was gone...

You bet I went to the mountain on Friday. This snow report is unheard of! It was so fun that Kari and I hardly took a picture on the day at Vail. We did a quick video of each other but we just focused on enjoying the crazy snow!
